How it works

our donors contribute to a money pool, a collective fund to be used for a specific purpose. those funds are then used to finance donation projects to our recipient list to gift music they requested from our request form for free.


essentially, we are a charity project distributing music by the artist lee taemin and his associated acts.

About

taemfunds is a non-profit charity project run by long time fans of shinee and taemin, who are passionate about his artistry and music and wish to support him in a meaningful way.

taemfunds pools donations and distributes albums to those who have filled out our request form for free. we believe in supporting the arts and want to help make music available for everyone through our charity funding project.

Legacy

taemfunds places great importance in the influence shinee passionately promotes. most deeply, we are inspired by jonghyun's legacy of kindness and compassion, and we came to start taemfunds to honor his passion for the arts and supporting the youth who are enthusiastic about music.

through the legacy of jonghyun, we want to spread positivity to people, and we want to give even a small gift to those in need. we believe greatly in this legacy of kindness and generosity for others, and taemfunds was started to honor our most beloved jonghyun and all he stood for.

Donation Faq

taemfunds is only possible through the generosity of our donors. thank you for helping us support the shinee legacy.

money donated by our donors is pooled through a fundrazr campaign and held in a paypal cash account until it is used to send out gifts.

taemfunds distributes its gifts through us itunes, which has a built in "gift" function. our request form gathers recipients apple id email, which is then used as an address to send a download link for the gifted music.

taemfunds aims to support all of taemins projects, as well as the other shinee members, because it's what we believe he would want. however, we understand that donors may want to support a specific project, and we offer "donor reserves" to assure your money will only go where you want it to.

taemfunds offers refunds within 4 days of donation for amounts less than $50. we hold our funds for 4 days before committing them to donations. refunds after 4 days are not guaranteed and must be personally negotiated with us.
fundrazr has a small fee that will not be refunded as it is processed by fundrazr and not us.

raffle events are periodic events we host for our donors where we will be raffling off physical albums that we are currently supporting. any donation of $2 or more will recieve one raffle ticket in the giveaway, with an additional raffle ticket awarded at the cost of the digital album or higher. this amount varies and will be specified with the announcement of each event. donors will then be entered into a raffle to win the album that is being offered in a giveaway event, and the winner will be shipped the album fully packaged with photocards, posters, and all extras included.

donor reserve

to request a reserve, contact us via twitter message or email ([email protected]) and provide the email address you donated with, the amount you wish to reserve, and the cause you wish to reserve your donation for.

donor reserves are conditions placed on donations, such as "i want my donation to only go towards taemins act 1 album."

we offer these reserves due to our collaborative nature and desire to protect donors funds.

we keep a running list of every donor and their donated amount for our personal records. when a reserve is requested, we take note of the amount that was donated and place that amount on a "hold" until it can be allocated to the specific cause requested.

partial reserves are accepted. partial reserves include holding a portion of funds (for example, $50 to Taemins album and $20 to Super M) as well as partial restrictions (for example, "i want to support all of taemins projects, but not collaborative projects").

because taemfunds is based in the united states, unfortunately only us residents can redeem the download link sent through itunes. however, it is possible to change your residency through your apple id. we can not guarantee that this will always work though, so please exercise caution using this work around.

music can be requested through our request form on our homepage. the request form is kept updated with all available request options, including collaborations. our request form may be temporarily unavailable in the event that no funds are currently available for distribution. we apologize if this happens.

we will contact you to verify your request 24-48 hours in advance of sending your gift. you can check in at any time before then, but if we don't recieve confirmation before we're scheduled to send out gifts, we will be relying on the information you submitted at the time of filling out the request form.

yes, we contacted apple directly to discuss the validity of gifts for itunes charts, and they confirmed that gifted songs and albums do count for itunes charts.

to change your request information, please contact us via twitter or email before or at the time of taemfunds contacting you to verify your request. once we have verified your request, we can not guarantee that changes can be made.

yes, you can send a request for someone else! our form includes an option to send your request as a gift to someone else, all we need is the email associated with their itunes account to send the download link to them.
